There is more than one way to help carry the mission forward.

Support the Mission

Burros for Heroes is being built through the support of people who believe in Veterans, families, community, responsible animal care, and the quiet healing that can happen between people and burros.

Some people can give time. Some can offer useful skills. Some can support the mission through donations, supplies, sponsorships, or simply helping spread the word. Each one matters.

Ways to Help

Time

Some people help by showing up. As Burros for Heroes grows, time may be needed for animal care, work days, events, setup, cleanup, visitor support, outreach, transportation, and basic farm or facility tasks.

Talent

Some people help through the skills they already have, including animal care, veterinary care, farrier work, fencing, construction, photography, writing, fundraising, grant support, event planning, outreach, marketing, administration, or nonprofit operations.

Treasure

Some people help by giving financially or providing needed supplies. Donations, sponsorships, feed, hay, tack, fencing materials, medical supplies, event supplies, and equipment can all help support the mission.

Current and Future Needs

Burros for Heroes will grow carefully and responsibly. As the foundation develops, support may be needed in practical areas such as:

  • Volunteer work days and service projects
  • Animal care support, grooming, feeding, and pasture help
  • Hay, feed, tack, fencing supplies, and basic farm materials
  • Farrier, veterinary, and animal health support
  • Event setup, cleanup, parking, greeting, and visitor support
  • Community outreach, photography, writing, and social media support
  • Fundraising, sponsorships, donor support, and supply drives
  • Partnerships with churches, civic groups, Veteran groups, recovery programs, and first responder organizations

How to Start

You do not need to know exactly where you fit yet. If you want to help, reach out and tell us whether you are interested in giving time, offering a skill, donating supplies, sponsoring a need, or supporting the mission in another way.
