Our Mission

A mission built around humble service, steady animals, and meaningful connection.

The mission of Burros for Heroes Foundation, Inc. is to support Veterans first by creating a peaceful place for connection, purpose, and healing through the steady presence of burros, responsible animal care, and meaningful outdoor experiences.

While Veterans remain at the heart of the mission, Burros for Heroes also welcomes families, first responders, recovery partners, community members, volunteers, and rescued animals into a place built on humility, trust, service, and meaningful connection.

Our why is rooted in a simple belief: sometimes healing starts when life slows down.

Burros for Heroes exists to serve Veterans first, while also welcoming families, first responders, recovery partners, community members, and rescued animals into an environment built on trust, patience, care, purpose, and meaningful connection.

Burros for Heroes is focused first on Veterans and their families, while also creating room for others who carry stress, service, recovery, transition, or the need for connection.
