Amie Rogers serves as Founding Director, Secretary and Treasurer of Burros for Heroes Foundation, Inc. As a founding officer and board member, she helps support the foundation through stewardship, organization, accountability, and the steady attention to detail needed to help the mission grow responsibly.

Amie also understands the mission from the family side of service. As Bill’s wife, she remained steadfast through multiple deployments, long separations, uncertainty, and the demands that come with military life. She has been a steady foundation for the family and understands that service affects more than the person wearing the uniform.

Amie comes from a military family as well. Bill and Amie’s son is currently serving and is also a Combat Veteran, and her father and brother are both Combat Veterans. Service is not something she supports from a distance. It is part of her family’s story and a tradition of service that continues through Burros for Heroes.

That experience gives her a personal understanding of why Burros for Heroes serves not only Veterans, but also the families who stand beside them. Her strength, loyalty, and steady presence are part of the foundation of this mission.

Her role helps keep the foundation grounded in responsible planning, clear records, financial care, and practical support. As the mission develops, that steady foundation will be important for serving Veterans, families, first responders, community partners, and rescued animals with care and accountability.

Burros for Heroes is a family mission, and Amie’s service helps carry the heart of that mission forward with care, humility, and purpose.
